Onward to Washington

August 19th, 2010

In September and October we’ll be spending a lot of time in Washington state building greenroofs. First, right after Labor Day we’ll be travelling to Bellingham, Wa. to install a 3,000 sq.ft. greenroof on the remodeled Miller Hall at Western Washington University.  Then, later in September, we’ll be in Seattle installing a 30,000 sq.ft. greenroof at Denny Middle School, by far our biggest installation to this point.  Both projects are Xeroflora America installations, and both will be installed in conjunction with Snyder Roofing.  When October is finished we’ll have grown our installed base to right around 50,000 sq.ft.!

Enviroscapes NW to Re-Install the Ecotrust Ecoroof!

May 6th, 2010

Enviroscapes Northwest is excited to announce that we have been selected to re-do the ecoroof at the Jean Vollum Capital Center (the Ecotrust Building) in Portland’s Pearl District.  The high-profile building was completely re-constructed 10 years ago and was one of the first LEED Gold certified projects in the U.S.  Among the many energy saving and greenbuilding features of the building  it also incorporated one of Portland’s first lightweight extensive ‘ecoroofs’.  Unfortunately, for a variety of reasons the ecoroof never flourished, and over time became something of a muddy eyesore rather than the beautiful stromwater management system originally envisioned.  Now, Enviroscapes Northwest will apply our expertise and industry leading greenroof design and construction capability to remove and re-install the ecoroof at the Ecotrust Building.  This is a very exciting project and we’re very proud to have been selected to recreate the greenroof and give Ecotrust the ‘ecoroof’ they always wanted.

Check back for additional posts describing our progress at Ecotrust!

Welcome!
